Child Star Visits DeKalb, Promotes Prescription Assistance
April 10, 2008Jerry Mathers, of Leave it to Beaver fame, visited DeKalb and Kishwaukee Community Hospital April 9 to promote Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA). PPA helps uninsured individuals who suffer from a chronic disease receive their medications at low or no cost.
Mathers, who has diabetes, says promoting PPA and its services is a way for him to give back to communities.
“People who have a chronic disease and are also uninsured are among the most vulnerable in our society,” Mathers said.
