volunteerKishwaukee Community Hospital welcomes volunteers of all ages from high school through retirement. They provide valuable service throughout the hospital for patients, staff and visitors. Most shifts are three hours long and an effort is made to match the volunteer’s skills to their assignment.

For our TAGS (Teen Age Group Service) program, applications are accepted throughout the year. The deadline to begin volunteering in the fall is May 1. Once the application and recommendations have been received, an interview with the future TAGS volunteer and a parent/guardian will be scheduled. All new TAGS are required to attend an orientation and two training sessions before being placed on the regular schedule.

Green Leaf Gift Shop
The Green Leaf Gift Shop will be open seven days a week and is staffed by volunteers. The hours are:
Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Saturday 10-2 p.m. (if volunteer is available)

All profits from the Gift Shop are used to improve the quality of patient care at Kishwaukee Community Hospital.
